1. Go with an open mind
It's really helpful to know what you have in mind and want to try on, but have an open mind to other styles. Even if it is just to absolutely discount a style you believed wouldn't work, it's good to try some different dresses. You never know, you might be surprised that the dress to make you feel amazing, is nothing like the one you first had in mind, when you walked into the store.

Whether you are having a huge church wedding, or a small intimate ceremony in a registry office, think about the setting and what sort of dress will fit. You will want to be comfortable as well as feeling amazing! Remember though alterations could make the dress you love, suit your venue. For example the dress I chose had the longest train ever. 4. Your bride tribe
Wedding dress shopping should be a lovely positive experience. Choose the friends or family (or both!) that come to your appointment carefully. Your nearest and dearest will know you best and will want to be helpful, but sometimes too many opinions can make things more difficult and stress you out.
5. Don't be afraid to say yes to the first dress you love
Many brides worry they are making such an important decision, too quickly. More often than not though, brides will end up returning to the store and buying the first dress they fell in love with, as nothing since has compared. You will know when it's 'the one' so don't be scared to say 'yes to the dress' and go with your own gut feeling. Don't run the risk of losing the dress that was meant to be....
