Some couples choose to get married, move in together and have children. Others have children, move in together and then get married....there are many other possibilities too, and it's what is right for you and nobody else that matters.
As a mum, shopping for your wedding dress can cause some extra concerns and worries 'my body is not the same' 'I can't wear that dress because of my baby belly or the extra weight I can't seem to shift'.....
Firstly ladies, our bodies will likely never be the same after we have had our children. Remember what a wonderful thing that is, your child has grown inside of you and you have given birth to that child, you are amazing!!!
Love your body and don't have negative thoughts. There will be a dress, to compliment your figure. Tell your bridal stylist the parts of your body you love, those you want to accentuate. Tell them any parts of your body that you feel less comfortable with, let them help you find the perfect dress. It might be a higher neckline, as you don't feel you want to show too much cleavage. It might be that you want sleeves (short or long) to cover your arms perhaps. Whatever it is that makes you feel anxious in anyway, your bridal stylist will be happy to help. There will be a dress that will make you feel amazing on your special day, promise.
Think positively as to what your body has achieved and be proud of it. Don't be scared to go dress shopping and embrace the experience. A private appointment is highly recommended, not many ladies enjoy an audience of strangers regardless as to how much they love their body. Enjoy the experience and think how lucky you are, your child or children can be involved in your wedding day, that is special in itself. x
